A tornado touched down on Jan. 23, 2012, in central Alabama devastating many communities, destroying 200 homes and leading to two deaths. > MORE

An EF-5 tornado struck Joplin, MO on May 22, 2011 with winds in excess of 200 mph, leading to over 1,000 injuries and 150 people killed. > MORE
