Lutheran Disaster Response is a collaborative ministry of the
Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) and The Lutheran
Church--Missouri Synod (LCMS). Begun in 1972, following significant flooding
from Hurricane Agnes in eastern Pennsylvania, Lutheran Disaster Response
brings together the energy and efforts of Lutherans from around the
country to respond to natural and human-caused disasters in the United
States and its territories.
We demonstrate
Christ's compassion for all people by promoting hope, healing, and
wholeness to disaster survivors.
There are many ways you can
become involved in this important ministry. Follow us here, on
Facebook, or on our e-mail list. Give of your talents to financially
support the continued mission of disaster response, both now and for
future events. Give of your time to serve as a volunteer.
Together, we
are all Lutheran Disaster Response.
