2008 Disaster Preparedness Grants
Lutheran Disaster Response has a long history of
dedicated and creative ministry on behalf of those affected by natural
and human-caused disasters. The mission of Lutheran Disaster
Response (LDR) is to demonstrate Christ’s compassion for people by
promoting hope, healing, and wholeness for disaster survivors.
The LDR disaster preparedness grant is one mechanism that assists in
building capacity and competency across the Lutheran Disaster Response
network. Any LDR affiliate agency is welcome to apply for a
disaster preparedness grant. The grant cycle runs from February
1st to
December 1st each year.
