Many Lutherans are active as
citizens serving their communities in times of disaster as
first responders; police, firefighters, nurses, doctors, Red
Cross volunteers, and emergency managers. We can all be
proud of Lutheran leadership present in these governmental
and non-profit disaster response systems. Additionally these
members can be a great source of help to you in organizing
other local congregational volunteer initiatives to assist
in the community.
