Recovery from Hurricane Ike

A number of different groups are working in southeast Texas, in response to Hurricane Ike.  For anyone interested in working in the Houston area, there is now a centralized intake for all volunteer teams.  Please call 713-964-0299 or send an e-mail to ikevolunteer@volunteerhouston.org for more information.  Volunteer Houston will be performing initial intake for all teams and then assigning the teams to one of the many rebuild agencies working in and around Houston.  Please note -- volunteer housing cannot be assumed, but the various rebuild groups will help to find housing as possible.
